Introduction

The waters of Sosaria stir again. From the darkest reaches of the ocean, the ship of Captain Barbarossa has returned. After a year sailing through storms, sunken wrecks, and battles against cursed crews, the crew is back... tired, but full of secrets. During the long absence, his sailors traversed forgotten seas, challenged legends born in the deep, and recovered treasures buried by time itself. But what they bring back is not just gold: it’s knowledge of an ancient threat, a shadow that still looms over the fate of the Cursed Corsair.

Stories already spread in the ports, between rum and flickering lanterns: they speak of stolen maps, missing islands, a demon that rules over dreams... and a potion capable of breaking the curse that binds the seas.

Are you ready to set sail again? The journey resumes. And the sea never forgets.

Whispers from the Deep

After the battles against the Cursed Corsairs and the failure of the Rite of the Seas, Captain Barbarossa received an unexpected visit: the tormented spirit of Hawkmoon the Cursed Corsair, still tied to the world of the living.

With a broken voice, Hawkmoon asked for help: an abyssal creature, linked to his curse, guarded the last fragment of the potion necessary to break the spell that chained his soul and his crew. Barbarossa, moved by an old debt of honor, agreed to listen... though reluctantly.

Years ago, it was Barbarossa who sacked Hawkmoon’s ship, stealing his enchanted medallion. From that moment, the curse began to extend its shadow over the captain's crew. Hawkmoon, known for accumulating immense wealth, had hidden his treasures in a deep underwater cave, awakening the wrath of ancient sea spirits... and of a mysterious tribe living near Terra Sanctum.

Now, weary and bent by time and guilt, the Cursed Corsair offers a truce. In exchange for Barbarossa and his men's help, he promises to stop haunting the crew and share his forgotten riches.

On Captain Barbarossa’s Galleon, in the pirate area, you’ll find the Book of Lore of the event, describing the story, the missions, and everything you need to know to experience the event. The Book is readable by all, and you can change language by clicking the book and selecting the desired one.

Corsairs Mission 1 - Relic of the Wreck

At the dock where Captain Barbarossa’s ship is moored, among the sea wrecks, you’ll find Quartermaster Jakeb. He speaks of the wrecks he’s inspecting, claiming that some of them belonged to Hawkmoon and that the pirates who looted the ship are at the Sea Market, spending their loot. We must recover 1 Soggy Log Pages, containing the secrets of Hawkmoon's voyages, by reaching the sea pier and defeating the pirates who looted the wrecks!

You’ll find him on a small boat at the pirate dock, guided by the brave deckhand Franz the Helmsman, who helped recover parts of the cursed shipwreck!

Corsairs Mission 2 - The Witch's Recipe

Near her magical cauldron stands Maela Greenfang, an old alchemist and long-time member of Captain Barbarossa’s crew. She helps the crew heal from illnesses and curses... but sometimes creates potions that cause chaos! She’ll ask you to gather three ingredients for the potion:

Ghost Algae: in the swamps of the Fens of Dead near Trinsic.
Abyssal Scales: available from the fisherman at the Skara Brae pier.
Mermaid’s Tears: near a dolphin-shaped island in Tokuno.

Corsairs Mission 3 - The Cartographer's Vision

The old cartographer, now blind, seeks his special glasses: the Cartographer’s Spectacles, magical lenses that briefly restore sight. He says he lost them in the crypts south of Yew during an exploration. You’ll likely find them among the loot of Liches.

Corsairs Mission 4 - The Leviathan's Grave

Loris the Explorer will ask you to travel south of Jhelom, where the remains of the ancient Leviathan rest. Searching through its rotting bones may yield Leviathan’s Marrow. You’ll need to collect 5 total, and beware of sea monsters lurking nearby!

Corsairs Mission 5 - The Black Sigil

In the pirate area, you’ll also meet the famous Cornelius the Necromancer. He will ask you to destroy a magical sigil by defeating the Cursed Guardian protecting it. The sigil is located in the desert near the Exodus dungeon on Ilshenar. Once the guardian is defeated, you’ll have time to craft the healing potion for Hawkmoon.

After completing the missions from Barbarossa’s crew, return to the captain’s ship to receive a Corsairs Treasure Chest, which contains:

  • Corsairs Artifact or 1 Major item "of the Corsairs"
  • 3-5 Armor-Shield-Jewels "of the Corsairs"
  • 2-3 Pirate's Ingot (Minor, Lesser, or Greater quality)
  • 200 Gold Dublon
  • 200 Quest Point

Buccaneer's Den Invasion

According to research into the treasures of the Cursed Corsair, the orcish crews who looted Hawkmoon's ships have landed at Buccaneer’s Den. Among them, the most dangerous is the Spinebreaker Crew, led by the vicious pirate orc Grushnak Skullbasher! This is no ordinary orc: he’s enormous, and his mace can destroy entire ships!

Defeating members of the Spinebreaker Crew will reward you with treasures looted from Hawkmoon’s vessels. These can be sold to Olumbus the Golden Refiner in exchange for Gold Dublon, useful for shopping at the black market!

Additionally, defeating Grushnak’s forces may yield rare Treasure Maps of the Cursed Corsair, which contain valuable hidden loot!

Here is the list of artifacts that can be dropped by defeating Grushnak:

Rite of the Seas

On the island of Terra Sanctum, the “Rite of the Seas” never truly ended. Even though Haagenti was defeated and returned to his ethereal form, many of his worshipping tribes have returned to the island, attempting to summon him once more. As we know, this dark cult is deeply tied to the legend of the Cursed Corsair Hawkmoon, bearer of the ancient curse.

This time, Hawkmoon asked for Barbarossa’s help. However, Haagenti—the Demon of Alchemy and Dreams—did not take this betrayal kindly. Enraged, he now seeks to return again in physical form!

The ancient demon has other disciples besides Hawkmoon, ones who also carry his curse in exchange for power. One such disciple is the orc captain invading Buccaneer’s Den. Rumors at the docks say that each time he is defeated, a candle on the sacrificial altar at Terra Sanctum lights up. Sadly, this could lead to Haagenti’s awakening...

To complete the ritual, all 48 altar candles must be lit.

When the final candle lights, a wave of dark energy will sweep the island. The Rite of the Seas will be complete. With a roar that shakes the land, Haagenti and his followers will rise from the shadows to bring destruction and terror. The local tribe is ready for battle, demanding revenge.

Both in the Party Area and in Luna, you’ll find a Golden Flame. It remains unlit while the ritual is in progress. Once lit, it signals Haagenti’s appearance!

How It Works:

  • At Terra Sanctum (Felucca facet) is a sacrificial altar with 48 candles.
  • Defeating Gharzog Skullsplitter during invasions may light a candle.
  • Candles light up in order, one by one.
  • Once all are lit, the ritual is complete.
  • A global message announces Haagenti’s appearance.
  • Haagenti appears only from 8:00 PM to 11:59 PM.
  • After defeating him, the candles extinguish sequentially.
  • Then the Rite of the Seas begins again from zero.

Once the Rite is completed (between 20:00 and 23:59), Haagenti’s acolytes will appear around the altar. You must defeat them to summon Haagenti himself!

Upon his death, one of the players who earned loot rights will receive one of his powerful Artifacts. Additionally, another player will receive directly in their backpack a special “Hooded Robe”, usable for merging with an artifact robe at the tailor in Blackthorn’s Castle.

Tons of Gold Dublon will also appear on the ground upon Haagenti’s defeat!

All Artifacts dropped by Haagenti carry a powerful curse! You can remove this curse simply by bringing the cursed artifact to the pirate docks, to Cornelius the Necromancer, and using the tools placed on his "Ritual Table."

But the path to escape Terra Sanctum is long and treacherous — a curse… or perhaps… an assassin might rob you!

Treasure of the Corsair's

With the Treasure Maps obtained from defeating the Spinebreaker Crew in Buccaneer's Den, players can start hunting treasure! There are 9 possible treasure locations:

  • Britain
  • Yew
  • Moonglow
  • Occlo
  • Magincia
  • Jhelom
  • Skara Brae
  • Vesper
  • Trinsic

All these treasure maps are only diggable on the Trammel facet, except for the Occlo map, which spawns only on Felucca!

To dig them up, reach the indicated spot on the map and search for a pit (Disturbed Ground). You must have the specific location map **and** a Corsairs Shovel, purchasable for a 2 Refined Gold from Olumbus. The Corsairs Shovel is single-use and disappears after digging!

Once the treasure is found, the map becomes Completed and will display the name of the player who completed it!

Trammel maps will contain a “Lesser” chest, and sometimes a “Greater” one. Occlo always grants a “Greater” chest, with a rare chance of a “Legendary” one. What's the difference?

Inside the chests, depending on level, you may find:

  • Lesser Treasure Chest
  • 1 Corsairs Artifact, 1 Minor Item of the Corsairs, 1 Major item of the Corsairs
  • 3–4 Minor Item of the Corsairs
  • 2–4 Pirate Ingots (Minor, Lesser quality)
  • 1 Corsairs Golden Item (Artifact Rarity 1–3)

  • Greater Treasure Chest
  • 1 Corsairs Artifact
  • 3–6 Minor Item of the Corsairs
  • 2–4 Pirate Ingots (Minor, Lesser, Greater quality)
  • 1 Corsairs Golden Item (Artifact Rarity 1–4)

  • Legendary Treasure Chest
  • 1 Corsairs Artifact or 1 Major Item of the Corsairs
  • 1 Legendary Item of the Corsairs
  • 3–6 Minor Item of the Corsairs
  • 3–4 Pirate Ingots (Minor, Lesser, Greater, Major quality)
  • 1 Corsairs Golden Item (Artifact Rarity 4–5)

Corsairs Golden Item

Golden Ingots can be double-clicked to yield gold via check, depending on level. Corsairs Artifacts, Armor/Jewels/Shield of the Corsairs, and Corsairs Golden Items can be traded for Gold Dublon (to use in the Black Market) or turned into Corsairs Refined Gold for rare golden items!

Golden Refiner

The material used to craft Corsairs Golden Items can be refined into special items.
