TRANSMOGRIFICATION POTION

Transmogrification Potions are special potions that allow you to change the appearance of an item (Artifact or Crafted), giving it the look of another item with a different graphic or simply different colors. They come in different types for the following slots: Robe, Helm, Shield, Cloak, and Shoes (UODreams Only). In addition, a special NPC has been created that can transmogrify Hooded Shrouds (something not possible with the Transmogrification Potion Robe).

For these potions, the Source Object must be the item containing the properties, while the Destination Object must be the item whose graphic you want to copy. The destination item must have no properties!

Transmogrification Potions transfer the shape, color, name, and loot type from the destination object onto the source object (the one with properties). This means the source item will fully adopt these characteristics. For example, if the destination object has a Blessed loot type, then the source item will also become Blessed.

Here is the list of all possible Transmogrifications available on UODreams:

Transmogrification - Robe Slot
Transmogrification - Helm Slot
Transmogrification - Shield Slot
Transmogrification - Cloak Slot
Transmogrification - Shoes Slot
Transmogrification - Hooded Shroud

TRANSMOGRIFICATION
Robe Slot

This potion allows you to change the appearance of an artifact into the desired graphic. Artifact robes cannot, under any circumstance, be transformed into Hooded Shrouds.

TRANSMOGRIFICATION
Helm Slot

With this potion, helms can be transformed into different graphics. If the source item has a race requirement (Gargoyle or Elves Only), it can only be modified using items with the same race requirement. Additionally, meditational items cannot be transformed into non-meditational ones, and vice versa!

TRANSMOGRIFICATION
Shield Slot

This transmog potion allows you to change the appearance of any shield into another. The race requirement must be respected, meaning items marked Gargoyle Only can only be transformed using items with the same race restriction. In addition to the classic shield models, it is also possible to use special event items such as Torches, Lanterns, Orbs, or others, provided they have durability — this is the key factor that determines whether an item can be used or not!

TRANSMOGRIFICATION
Cloak Slot

Cloak models in the game are quite limited, but it is possible to use graphic items as destination objects such as the Wearable Backpack, Cloak of Virtue, Humility Cloak, or the classic cloak variants (Fur/Cloak). However, this potion can never be used to transform a quiver into a cloak!

TRANSMOGRIFICATION
Shoes Slot

This potion allows you to change the appearance of artifact shoes into a chosen graphic, either from special event shoes given over the years as quest rewards, or alternatively into another style among the standard craftable ones!

TRANSMOGRIFICATION
Hooded Shroud

Unlike standard Transmogrification Potions, Hooded Shrouds can be merged or separated using two special NPCs located inside Lord Blackthorn’s castle in Trammel. Here’s how the system works:

    Usable Hooded:

With the latest update, any model of Hooded Robe can be used, provided it has no properties.

  • Hooded Shroud Of Shadows
  • Ghostly Shroud Of Spookiness
  • Shroud Of Talkeesh
  • Hooded Robe Of Umbra
  • Arcane Shroud
  • Champion Of Balance
  • Acolyte Shroud
  • Hooded Robe of the Abyssal Siege
  • Hooded Robe of the Christmas Siege
  • Master of Dungeon Shroud
  • Shroud Of Shivering
  • Shroud Of Creepy
  • Shroud Of Wailing
  • Lily - The Great Lakes Crafting Contest Champion
  • The UODreams Easter Shroud
  • Hooded Robe

The Monks Robe cannot be used in any way for merging.

    Usable Artifacts:

  • Conjurer's Garb
  • Relvinian Robe
  • Shroud Of The Condemned
  • Cloak Of Silence
  • Cloak Of Death
  • Cloak Of Power
  • Cloak Of Life
  • Mystic's Garb
  • Lord Morphiu's Epaulette
  • General Lethe Epaulette
  • Shadowbane Tabard
  • Mantle Of The Archlich

    Transmogrification:

During the Transmogrification process, by using the buy option from the NPC, you can select from the menu which artifact you want to combine. It is essential that your backpack contains only one type of Hooded Robe (the one you wish to merge) and only one artifact to be combined. If there are multiple Hooded Robes or more than one artifact of the chosen type, the system will return an error message.

Once the Transmogrification is complete, you will obtain a Hooded Robe that inherits the color and name of the Hooded Robe used in the merge, along with the properties of the selected artifact.

It is important to note that only the Hooded Shroud of Shadows—both clean and merged—can be dyed with Xorina’s Hooded Dye Tool. Merged Hooded Robes with a name different from Hooded Shroud of Shadows will not be dyeable (just as before).

Both versions of the Conjurer’s Garb (with or without Luck) can be used, and the resulting Hooded Robe will retain the Luck property depending on the version of the artifact chosen.

Both versions of the Mantle of the Archlich (with or without durability) can also be used. If you use the one with durability, the resulting Hooded Robe will inherit that durability. If you use the version without durability, the resulting Hooded Robe will have none.

    Split:

Unlike Transmogrification Potions, these NPCs also allow you to later separate a Hooded Robe and an Artifact. To do this, you must purchase a Blackthorn Split Token from the Utility Seller at Luna bank for 5,000,000 gold. Using the NPC Splitter, you can then select the correct type of Hooded Robe to split.

The Hooded Robe obtained from the split will be exactly the same type as the one originally fused. Therefore, unless it is a Hooded Shroud of Shadows, it will not be dyeable with Xorina’s Hooded Dye Tool.

Splitting a Hooded Robe fused with the Conjurer’s Garb will return the corresponding artifact, with or without Luck depending on the version used in the merge.

Splitting a Hooded Robe fused with the Mantle of the Archlich will return the corresponding artifact, with or without durability depending on the version used in the merge. The new artifact will also reflect the exact durability points the Hooded Robe had before being separated.
